    Integrated manufacturing and sales of Membrane and related equipment by transferring personnel and assets of Nuclepore Department of Hokko Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. to Nomura Micro Science Co., Ltd.

    Adopted Ultrapure Water technology from Aqua Media Inc. of U.S.A., and expanded into Ultrapure Water business

    Developed the world's first pyrogen (a part of fungus body component of sterilization) removal system using reverse osmosis membrane (RO), and delivered this system to pharmaceutical companies in Japan

    Moved head office to Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo

    Established a joint corporation, KURARAY AQUA Co., Ltd., with KURARAY Co., Ltd. to expand waste water treatment business (our investment ratio: 45%, became 18% in 2009, dissolved joint venture in 2012)

    Established AGRU PLASTICS Co., Ltd. by incorporation-type company split
    Established Shanghai Nichimura Trading Co., Ltd in China to strengthen sales of Ultrapure Water System and consumables etc. (liquidated in 2015)

    Awarded “Technology Prize” from Japan Society of Ion Exchange for “METOLATE®” a metal removal module for chemicals.

  • 2011

    Established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Nomura Micro Science Engineering Co., Ltd. in Taiwan.
    Established a wholly-owned subsidiary, NAD Co., Ltd (current Nomura Micro Science Korea Co., Ltd.) in South Korea.

    Invested 35% in a new company established in Tongren, Guizhou Province, China by Shanghai Nomura Engineering Co., Ltd. to expand wastewater treatment business in China
    Established resident office in Vietnam to develop new base in Asia. (closed in 2016)

  • 2013

    Established Qiandongnan Kaichuang Water Resource Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. to participate in water purifying and sewage treatment business in Guizhou Province, China. (our investment ratio: 99%, Shanghai Nomura Engineering Co., Ltd. acquired remaining 1% share of the capital from a partner in August 2017. Assigned entire proprietary equity of our company and Shanghai Nomura Engineering Co., Ltd. in November 2018)

  • 2014

    Merged Nomura Korea Co., Ltd. and NAD Co., Ltd. into Nomura Micro Science Korea Co., Ltd. to concentrate management resources in South Korea and make management of group companies more streamlined and efficient.

  • 2018

    Established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Nomura Micro Science (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. in Vietnam.
    Obtained approval as AEO Exporter under the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Program

    April 2019: Marked the 50th anniversary of foundation
