Sustainability Promotion System
(Governance)

At the Company, the President, Executive Officer (hereinafter referred to as the “President”) plays a leading role in the Company’s sustainability management as the person responsible for all sustainability initiatives.

The President has established the Sustainability Committee, which consists of full-time directors, etc., as an advisory body, and he himself serves as chairman of the committee. At the Sustainability Committee, committee members deliberate on sustainability initiatives for each fiscal year and report to the President, who is the chairman, while also reviewing the status and results of the initiatives and deliberating on revisions to the initiatives as necessary. In addition, regarding initiatives to address climate change, we assess climate-related risks and opportunities, discuss necessary countermeasures based on the assessment, and reflect them in our strategies.

Sustainability initiatives that have been deliberated by the Sustainability Committee are implemented after being made known throughout the company as company-wide initiatives led by the President, and initiatives to address climate change are promoted as part of the execution of our strategies. The status of these initiatives is reported to the Board of Directors on a regular basis. Upon receipt of the report, the Board of Directors will appropriately evaluate and supervise the sustainability initiatives, including the initiatives to address climate change, and will provide advice as necessary.

In this way, under the Company’s Basic Sustainability Policy, we are promoting overall sustainability initiatives, including initiatives to address climate change, with the President being the person in charge. As for the status and results of the sustainability initiatives, we have established a system in which the Sustainability Committee evaluates and revises the initiatives as necessary. In addition, overall effectiveness is ensured by having the Board of Directors appropriately evaluate and supervise the status and results of the sustainability initiatives as well as the effectiveness of said system.
