High efficiency vacuum degasifier (HE-VDG)

lHE-VDG is a system that can remove dissolved oxygen in water with high efficiency by injecting traces of inert gas, such as nitrogen gas, into the general type of vacuum degasifier and bringing the oxygen partial pressure of the gas phase at the vacuum side extremely close to “zero.“
With the system component almost equivalent to a standard degasifier, HE-VDG is possible to reduce dissolved oxygen concentration in the treated water to a range of 50 to below 5 ppb.
Furthermore, the concentration of dissolved nitrogen in the treated water is much lower compared to the saturated solubility at ordinary temperature and pressure.

Features

  • The removal performance dramatically improves, simply by installing additional equipment to the conventional degasifier. The concentration of dissolved oxygen at HE-VDG outlet reduces to one tenth of that of the conventional degasifier.
  • There is almost no influence on product water quality because only a trace nitrogen is dissolved in water (only the saturated solubility under vacuum).
  • It achieves high performance with extremely low running costs because only a trace amount of nitrogen gas is needed as a consumable for this system.
